Ellas was SUPER excited on Friday because she had her big three month photo shoot and was going to the camp in Maine for the first time!!
She couldn't wait to show off all her new tricks...like standing (with help)
After her big photo shoot, there was some heavy duty traffic on the way to the camp. A tractor-trailor caught on fire and traffic was backed up for miles.
After we got out to stretch our legs, Ella played with her new friend - mirror Ella.
Then, she hopped up front to check things out from a different view.
Dad had a chat with the truck driver "parked" near us...
AND got a tour of the inside of the truck!
SIX hours later when we FINALLY made it to the camp, Ella got her first Maine sink bath!
Then we took a walk down to see Tricky Pond.
Ella woke up the next morning bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
Cousins Oliver and Adelaide were coming up to Maine around lunchtime!
Even though Oliver wouldn't share his chocolate milk with Daddy...
Ella knew they would fun to spend the weekend with.
Cousin Oliver showed Ella how much taller than her he was...
but she'll get there someday
While cousin Adelaide took a nap and cousin Oliver went out with Daddy and Dzia dzia, Ella got special time with Grammi
Then it was time for another nap (on the porch so she could enjoy the fresh Maine air!)
Nap time left Ella feeling nice and refreshed!
Ella and Mommy went down to the water to watch Dad take a dip. He's crazy!
Then Ella dipped her toes in to see just HOW crazy Daddy was. It was definitely cold!
Ella is too cool for school in Mom's sunglasses!
Ella slept for 7 hours straight that night and woke up just as cheery as the day before!
Grammi read cousins Oliver and Adelaide a story
Ella listened while sharing some special time with Dzia dzia
Then we headed over to Mimi and Papa's house for breakfast and Ella sat with Mimi while Papa cooked up a feast of eggs, bacon, toast AND pancakes!
It was nice to relax while everyone was at the table
Dzia dzia came over to say hi and Ella distracted him while...
Cousin Oliver ATE Dzia dzia's breakfast! So funny!
Ella got one more quick nap in before heading home
But her fun weekend wasn't quite over...Mommy, Daddy and Ella walked over to the beach so Ella could dip her toes in the ocean and sand
