Cursed?

Ugh!  I am beginning to wonder if there is some strange electronics/appliance curse on our home.  In a few weeks we'll have been in our home for 4 years and as of this week we have already had to replace our television and refrigerator.  We got back from visiting my Mom and Dad late Monday night and found our fridge and freezer at 67 degrees.  The next morning, the repair guy came out at, 10 minutes and 100 dollars later, we found out that a new refrigerator was in our future.  So now we are living on take out, and pantry items while we wait for our new addition to arrive.  At least it happened in the winter - when I got home Michael had G's milk out on our deck to keep cold.  But, seriously, aren't TVs supposed to last for more than 3 years and fridges supposed to last for more than 4?  Fingers crossed are dishwasher and washer/dryer decide to stick with us for a while...
