G continues to become more "toddlerish" each day. She certainly has her "moments," but she is so much fun to be around. She has so much energy and is always going. She is fearless. She will climb almost everything. She will march right into the ocean and keep going until she falls under...and then she will come right back up and say "more more." She is constantly testing boundaries.
Her favorite toy continues to be her babies...in fact, aside from her little Vtech music toy, her babies are pretty much the only thing that she plays with. She has four babies (all named "baby") and she takes turns feeding them, rocking them, burping them, dancing with them and has started to ask for help changing them. She will bring her babies over to me and say "pee pee," then put her baby on the changing mat to be changed. When I finish pretend changing them, she says "all clean" and brings over another. She brought one over to me this past week and said "baby crying" which was the first noun/verb combination that she has come up with independently.
She loves pretending to talk on the phone. Whenever I ask her who she is talking to, the answer is always the same - Nonna.
She does this funny little thing where she will put a bag or something that "resembles" a bag (i.e. her swimsuit top) over her arm, turn around, smile and say "bye bye."
She is still so petite, but getting taller all them time. I think that pants will be a challenge this fall/winter since even 18 month are still big on her waist, but getting short. Still just 7 teeth...I was hoping to report 8, but it is still hanging out just below her gum line.
G continues to come up with new words all the time. Sadly, she is still struggling with "Grammi." We practice every day, but she just can't seem to get it.
She alternates between begin a "mama's girl" and "daddy's girl"...really just based on who has spent the most time with her in the days prior. We are in for a "daddy's girl" stretch based on my work schedule for the next few days.
At a year and half, Gabriella is keeping us on our toes and making us laugh all the time. Since I couldn't spend her 18 month birthday with her, we went to the beach yesterday...here are some photos of Miss G from our beach trip.
