The first night there it was just Michael, G and me. G explored all the fun that Grammi and Dzia Dzia's Maine house had to offer...the guest bedroom throw pillows were at the top of the list.
Then she enjoyed climbing the high chair...over and over and over again.
Friday we got some sun and hit the beach. G tested out her new chair.
Still getting used to the water and sand, G often went from moments like this, to huge grins, getting gradually more comfortable the longer we were down there.
She loved it when Michael and I filled up buckets of water and poured them into her sand toys, buckets or even on her.
She enjoyed pointing out the boats passing by.
And, of course, taking in the scenery.
She spent a good portion of the day sitting on the dock with Michael and throwing stones into the water. If you look closely, you can see a stone right before it hits the water.
G's face and eyes in this one are really funny.
Lorelai came up on Saturday and the girls had a blast playing with each other. G was even generous enough to share her shacks with "Whoa-why" while they watched a cartoon.
Grammi took a walk with G one afternoon.
G gave hugs to the lobster and fisherman statues in front of the house.
Dzia Dzia got a little daring and decided to cut some branches, using a ladder and the bed of his truck for height.
Hugs for her cousin.
4th of July: Dzia Dzia with the girls
Outside for the 20th annual parade on Grammi and Dzia Dzia's street (thanks Shannon for sharing your photos with me).
Last day at the beach. G started off in her safety zone - the baby pool...
But seeing Lorelai have so much fun in the water, she decided to brave it and join her.
Very different reaction from the first time
After one more time holding Daddy's hand G started to go down all by herself. Sadly my battery died and I didn't capture it.
