After working all weekend, my "weekend" began on Monday. We decided to enjoy our "Saturday" by making a trip to the zoo. We started the trip off with a visit to G's "favorite" animal...the ostrich.
You'd think we were at the monkey exhibit, but here we are actually looking for the lions, which seemed to be a bit shy. I guess the they hadn't made it to see the Wizard of Oz yet...
Or maybe they were just intimidated by tickle monster Ella
We may not have seen the real lions, but G had fun with the statues. "Roar!"
Next up- the Monkeys, which G had the chance to get up close and personal with.
"Hi, monkey!"
Making monkey faces
A special visit to Nonna's favorite animals...Giraffes
Looking for elephants...if G was a little bit taller
Bird watching
Perhaps G's favorite part of the zoo...a wheel she could spin. Looks like we could have saved over 3 hours in the car pretty easily :)
Hopscotch
Ride 1 of 3 on the carousel. G wanted to ride on her "favorite" animal...the alligator. As it turned out, G's favorite animal was whatever animal we most recently saw.
Ride 2
Ride 3 (her "favorite")
Of course, the water was a big hit
A little jealous that the bears got to play in water...
...so did the seal
Miss independent searching for more animals
One full morning at the zoo = one tired little lady!
