In the four years we've lived on the North Shore, Michael and I have never been to a polo match at Myopia...until last weekend. It is definitely on our to do again list. G enjoyed being outside, seeing the horses, and making new friends.
Tailgating
Do you see how far back we are siting from the edge of the court/field? That is because horses sometimes cross over that short wooden ledge in the action of the match (which happened, although not pictured, on Sunday).
Stomping the divots at half time.
Hanging out in the field.
On our way back to the sidelines, G saw this dog and ran after her screaming "puppy!" The owner was nice enough to stop and a small crowd gathered to pet her.
G was much braver about petting the horses...it took her about 5 minutes to pet the puppy.
G played with this little boy off and on throughout the afternoon. At the point that this picture was taken, she walked up to him and screamed "Eye!" much to his surprise. She is a character! I should also mention that our tailgating neighbors had three kids with them (4, 5 and 6) who G was obsessed with. Thankfully, instead of being annoyed, the six year old girl took G under her wing and gladly invited G to play with her and her toys. After seeing the praise that her family gave her from sharing, the 4 year old boy sought us out later in the afternoon to share his truck. I then heard him run over to his mom to tell her that he just shared his truck!
