Practice Makes Perfect

Over the weekend, I put Gabriella in the tutu that I bought for her to wear at her birthday party.  I think the volume and weight messed with her beginner walker balance and she kept on stumbling and then opting to crawl.  So we have been having daily tutu practice time.

You'll note that she is lugging a Curious George puppet around.  It was a gift from our friend, Mike (aka Santa Clause), when Gabriella was born and she has recently become quite attached to him.  Also, if it is confusing that George has letters all over his legs, it is because he is wearing a pair of G's legwarmers.

Gabriella enters this "danger zone"about 50 times a day to pick up the photo of us taken on the day she was born.  I wish I could confidently say that she gravitates to the photo because it is so special, but I think she likes the shiney frame and the fact that it is easily within reach.

She handled the tutu like a pro during this practice round so I think we will be tucking away until her party.
